in late 1980’s for 3,600,000 ITL 
with certificate of guarantee (numbered) to the back

Mother of God of passion, 
Mother of God of sorrows, 
flanked by Saints

it's hand-painted with faces of the Mother of God & Saints 
very intricate & so lifelike…
 
Made of solid wood, 
it measures 37cm x 45cm x 3cm  
 
Superb & exceptionally rare, 
as there are only a few icons that illustrate that particular subject, 
especially in this size & in such opulence…
