by Eterna-Matic dates back to the year 1968,

"KonTiki 20" was named after the KonTiki expedition in 1947:
T Heyerdahl & the crew made a raft crossing of the Pacific Ocean from
South America to Polynesian islands
(hence the case back has a golden raft medallion
embossed & in crisp condition)

36mm Stainless Steel Case is perfectly proportioned,
curving over the wrist
with elegant tapered lugs,
measuring 45mm (lugs-to-lug length)

Domed crystal sits above the Aegean / Ocean blue Dial,
adorned with silver & black solid baton numerals &
original hands, that not only match but
nicely compliment the colour of the dial
Eterna-Matic 5-ball arrangement logo at 12 o'clock
(which represents the advanced & efficient
"five ball bearings" movement,
introduced by Eterna in 1948)
The Dial is bearing an "Eterna-Matic" signature underneath the logo,
with framed date aperture at 3 o'clock & "KonTiki 20" at 6.
