Birdcage link is an intricate, closely linked sequential chain design which has ancient origins dating back to the 5th Century. Made of round links the resulting chain bracelet is very soft and flexible with an elegant drape.
The links form a very detailed rope and are used in pairs, with a vertical pair joined by a horizontal pair to a vertical pair, forming a very detailed rope.
Because of it’s early origins it is known by many other names including Byzantine link or King’s braid link.
