This antique French violin, crafted in 1850's, 
is in style of (bearing the copy label of) Giovanni Maggini Brescia. 

It came from workshop of Henry Derazy circa 1850
 
It features decorative purfling motifs on the back & 
double-purling on both plates. 

 
It bears the repair label of John Devereux of Melbourne, Victoria c1872.
