This  pair of 
925 Sterling Silver / Silver-Gilt and lavish Malachite 
Five-Light Candelabra is by Asprey, London 
 
Each rises from an octagonal base richly modelled 
with scrolling acanthus foliage, supporting a tall tapered column 
performed in opulent green malachite.
Above, a finely modelled putto entwines itself around the stem.
While sweeping foliate branches terminate in five lavishly chased candle cups.
 
Pair is adorned with English hallmarks to the base: 
maker mark - A&Co Ltd – Asprey & Co Ltd., 
along with import marks & 925 Sterling Silver stamp, c1959
