dating back to the turn of XX c. – early 1900’s

The brooch converts into a pendant,
(by unscrewing the back) – which is rare & sought-after 
 
Designed in an entomological motif - a delightful butterfly - 
it’s lavishly set with Natural Coloured Precious Gems of top quality: 
 
The body is centring a round Natural Ceylon Sapphire 
of impressive 1.00ct approx. (6mm in diameter)
of magnificent vivid and intense deep Royal Blue colour & 
excellent clarity, securely bezel set; 
featuring sapphire eyes & 
adorned with 3 large (2 – 3mm) split seed pearls of fine luster
 
Its wings are spread out wide, 
embellished with rose-cut diamonds of 0.50ct in total approx., 
further adorned with Natural Sapphire of various cuts (round & oval) & 
its edges are highlighted with radiant red Natural Rubies of finest quality 
totalling 1.20ct approx.

Meticulously crafted in 15K gold & silver (top), 
this piece is beautifully detailed.
With detachable brooch fittings, it has a provision to be worn as pendant
