This set of Antique Edwardian brushes a is a rare find and
a fascinating piece of the early XX century history of England
They feature sterling silver mounts with finely engraved borders and tortoiseshell backs inlaid with delicate silver piqué work,
depicting neoclassical garlands, bows, and classical motifs.
The style is reflecting elegant neoclassical revival design popular around 1890–1910.
The silver mounts are bearing English hallmarks,
including the lion passant for sterling silver,
London assay office mark, a date letter for 1904 and
a maker’s mark “W.C.” for William Comyns
