Centre Second Flyback Chronograph 44mm Pocket Watch Movement
by Nicole, Nielsen & Co dates back to circa 1864,
retailed by Mac Donnell & Co, Sydney (signed to the dial)
Invented & patented by A. Nielsen,
a flyback chronograph is a type of watch movement that
enables the chronograph function to be reset and
restarted instantly with a single button press.
Unlike a standard chronograph,
which requires three separate steps—stopping, resetting, and starting—
the flyback mechanism combines all three into one seamless action.
With a white porcelain regulator format dial,
featuring original hands, subsidiary seconds at 9 o'clock,
hour indication subsidiary dial at 3 o'clock,
minutes and the chronograph indications are
on the outer radial dial which features 5-minute makers.
Manual Movement is engraved
“Nielsen Capt 14 Soho Square, London” and numbered 7602
