Finds such as these are incredibly rare, especially in such fine condition

This badge is the Soviet military / artillery academy graduate badge,

c1951 (visible inscription: “Арт. акад. им. Дзержинского” —

Artillery Academy named after Dzerzhinsky).

The badge has all original parts

Crafted in solid silver, with exceptional attention to details:

it features a red star which is a key Soviet military and ideological symbol

On academy graduation badges, the star means:

-       The wearer completed higher military education, not basic training

-       They were qualified for senior command, engineering, or strategic roles

-       The badge was worn with pride and prestige, often for life

The wreath with hammer & sickle surrounding the star reinforces:

Achievement, Loyalty to the Communist Party, State recognition of merit

These badges were issued in limited quantities, dating from 1930s–1950s, making them highly collectible

The red star + enamel + silver construction indicates official state issue

Dimensions: 48mm x 28mm

In mint condition
