Fine & Rarely Seen, this pocket watch by Waltham dates back to early 1900's

 
Referred as Railroad pocket watch,
it boasts a high precision movement,
& was used by train conductors
 
Despite its age, its in a great vintage condition & in excellent working order

Designed as an Open Face,
the piece is centering a white porcelain dial,
adorned with hand-painted Arabic numerals
signed &
features original hands & subsidiary seconds at 6
 
Measuring 52mm,
Coin Edge Case is 14K gold-plated,
with both lids hallmarked & numbered 6806766,
case back is engraved in gorgeous engine turned & floral motif
 
Of famous model # 1908 - all 1908 model movements followed regulations laid down
by Webster Clay Ball for Railroad watches,
the pocket watch is opening to reveal Manual Movement of 23 jewels
(which exceeds the requirement of 17 jewels),
containing the mainspring
signed "Vanguard Waltham Mass" & numbered 10553009
